Default Runes of Attunement

Most people recommend survivor or armor runes for heroes. Now, my runes of attunement are piling up and I can't decide what to do with them.

Are there particular heroes that make optimal use of it or should I just sell them to the trader?

Yeah, they are probably worth quite a bit seeing as a lot of people still buy them for their heroes.

Survivor or armor runes are insignia that add a prefix to an armor piece. Attunement is a rune that adds a suffix to an armor piece. So it isn't an either-or choice. You can have both on the same piece, such as a Survivor Leggings of Attunement.

Attunement runes can be good for caster heroes or physical heroes that don't rely on adrenal skills. I usually put two on ele heroes and one on other casters, except for necro, since heroes are typically bad at energy management. Rangers also get one.

Bonus energy is only useful if your offloading energy quickly at the start of engagement, such activities are best supported with a staff + appropriate mods that pump your max energy (assuming your using a prof that has low energy/ energy regen).

Adding to your max energy is not energy management, it does not help in the grand scheme of things, your better off adding runes of Vitae as +10 HP 'can' help in a tight spot by pumping your heroes / your effective health up some.

Bonus energy increases the energybuffer and makes energy management more efficient, similar to how a larger healthpool makes healing more effiicient.

Don't hang on to runes, unless you know you're goin to use them soon. With a few temporary peeks, rune-prices are usually on a downward trend. They also take up a relatively large amount of inventory space.
